Camera Ready must be submitted by Monday, March 1, 2004

PAPER LENGTH AND COLOR PLATES

There is a page limit on your paper, depending on its category, according to the following table:

Regular research papers 8 (black&white) pages
Short and system papers 4 (black&white) pages

For each category but system papers, if needed, you can purchase another additional black&white page (the cost per B/W page is 100.00 €).

Furthermore you have the possibility of buying color pages. The cost per color page is 140.00 €.

The payment form for B/W and color pages is in the Registration page.

Please notice that the deadline for the payment is March 1st, 2004.

We agreed with the publisher that color pages do not have to be printed separately, but a color page can be any of the Camera Ready pages.

FORMATTING SPECIFICATIONS

The Proceedings are printed in the usual two-columns ACM format. Proceedings templates to create camera-ready copy are available in Word, WordPerfect, and LaTex. These templates are located at:

http://www.acm.org/sigs/pubs/proceed/template.html.

Please note: The camera-ready file must be converted into .pdf (acrobat) format according to the following instructions:

  1. The file must be PDF
  2. The file must have thumbnails and it must be optimized
  3. It is of particular importance that you leave sufficient space in the lower left corner of the first column on the first page for ACM to fill in the copyright information. See the text box in the template first page - bottom first column
  4. The file must have Type 1 fonts (scalable), not Type 3 (bit-mapped)
  5. The file must be named using the last name of the first author: firstauthorlastname.pdf (e.g. costabile.pdf):

Authors must apply ACM Computing Classification categories and terms. The templates provide space for this indexing and point authors to the Computing Classification Scheme at: http://www.acm.org/class/1998/

Papers must be submitted to AVI 2004 by the online form at the bottom of this page.

COPYRIGHT TRANSFER

ACM will not publish any paper that is not accompanied by the signed copyright form.

For jointly authored papers, an original signature is required from one (assumed senior) author only. However, we assume that all authors have been advised and have consented to the terms of the Copyright Form and this single author acts as duly authorized agent of the others.

You may look at Full ACM Copyright policy, revised as of November 11, 2002.

The ACM Copyright Transfer Form must be signed and returned by mail (express courier) to the address below so that it is received by March 1st, 2004:
