Motivation:

There is nowadays an increasing interest in extracting knowledge from databases, which often include variables that are hierarchically dependent and/or whose values are tree-structured; this is for instance the case of survey data. In this context, the aim of the workshop is to promote the discussion and development of new ideas and methods to deal with such data.
